Harpy Express is a social-deduction mystery on a moving train. Everyone boards together, but not everyone boards with the same goal, and nobody is told who is who.

After you join you land in the lobby. A round needs at least 6 players, or 10 on Viridis and Cruise Ship. When enough players are ready, it begins. If more than one map is up, there is a short vote first, and Y reopens the vote screen if you closed it.

A “Welcome aboard” message names your role and team. This is the most important moment of the round, so read it. Not sure what your role does? Look it up in the Guidebook, which is also an item you can hold in game.

Your current task shows as a prompt in the top left of your screen, so follow it. Killers and some neutral roles can see the round timer, and everyone else cannot. Every role has its own shop: press E or use the shop button on your open inventory, and spend the coins you earned during the round. Killers and neutrals use their ability with F.

One side wins, or the timer runs out. If you were eliminated you can keep watching, and you can open a Skin Case while you wait. Then it all starts over.

Survive, do your tasks and work out who the killers are.
How it wins: You win when every killer is eliminated, or when the round timer runs out with civilians still standing.
Eliminate everyone else without getting caught.
How it wins: You win when every non-killer is eliminated. If the timer runs out first, you lose.
Follow your own agenda. Some neutrals ride along with a team, and some have a solo win.
How it wins: A solo neutral (Arsonist, Thief, Licensed Villain, Fae and a few others) wins by finishing its own goal. Check your role in the Guidebook.
Within each team there are dozens of different roles. Browse them on the Roles page or in the Guidebook.
Movement and everything else is normal Minecraft. Voice chat is proximity based at all times, so you only hear the players near you (that changes once you are eliminated). These are the extra keys this modpack adds:
Earned inside a round, mostly from tasks, and spent inside the same round on your role's shop. They vanish when the round ends.
Earned by finishing rounds (5 for playing, plus 1 per kill, 1 per real task and 5 for MVP) and kept forever. 100 Tokens buys a Skin Case.

Some rounds roll a global modifier, a twist that changes the whole train for that round, such as a fog, a discount at every shop, or the lights going out. There are 10 of them and each is announced as the round starts. You may also get a player modifier, a trait attached to you alone, which is shown when you board.

Who had which role, who killed whom and when. Roles stay hidden during a round and are all revealed here afterwards.
Your wins, roles, achievements, Tokens and skins, once your account is linked.
Over a hundred of them, with progress bars so you can see what is close.
Ranked by wins, streaks, kills and more. The round's MVP gets a crown.
It makes the most sense once you are on the train.
